Identity & Access Management

Invoke's Identity & Access Management practice puts every user, guest, workload and device behind Microsoft Entra with Zero Trust controls. We harden sign-in with phishing-resistant MFA and Conditional Access, remove standing admin rights with Privileged Identity Management, govern access with reviews and lifecycle workflows, and consolidate other identity providers into Microsoft Entra ID.

The challenge

Identity is the new perimeter, and it's crowded.

Most attacks start with a stolen or misused identity. Employees, guests, apps, devices and now AI agents all need access, and each one is a way in.

  • Weak sign-in

Passwords, legacy protocols and uneven MFA leave easy ways in.

  • Standing admin access

Permanent privileged roles turn one compromised account into a breach.

  • Access that never expires

Joiners, movers, leavers and guests keep access long after they need it.

  • Too many identity systems

Hybrid directories and a second identity provider double the work and the gaps.

What we cover

13 capabilities, one practice.

Each area can stand alone or be part of a larger program. We start where the risk or the value is highest.

  • Identity Platform (Workforce / B2E)

A clean, well-run Microsoft Entra ID tenant: settings, users, groups, roles and admin model.

  • Hybrid Identity & Directory Synchronization

Directory synchronization that is designed, healthy and ready for a cloud-first future.

  • Identity Provider Consolidation

A planned, low-risk move from Okta and other identity providers to Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Authentication Methods & Registration

Phishing-resistant MFA, passwordless sign-in and self-service password reset, rolled out with registration campaigns.

  • Conditional Access

A tested Conditional Access policy set that applies Zero Trust to every sign-in.

  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

Just-in-time admin roles with approval, time limits and an audit trail.

  • Identity Governance

Access reviews, entitlement management and lifecycle workflows for joiners, movers and leavers.

  • External Collaboration (B2B / Guest Access)

Secure guest and partner access with cross-tenant settings and regular reviews.

  • Identity Risk Policies

Risk-based policies that block or challenge risky users and sign-ins automatically.

  • Enterprise Applications & SSO Posture

Single sign-on for your apps, with an inventory, named owners and least-privilege permissions.

  • Workload & Managed Identities

Apps, service principals and managed identities with owners, credentials and permissions under control.

  • Device Identity (Cloud & Hybrid Join)

Devices joined to Microsoft Entra, so device trust can be part of every access decision.

  • Zero Trust Network Access

Identity-based access to private apps through Microsoft Entra Private Access, instead of a VPN.

How we work

From priorities to results, in five stages.

Every engagement moves through the same stages, whether you start with an assessment or a full program.

Invoke Advise and Invoke Engage

  1. Stage 1 Align

Agree on outcomes, priorities and the people involved.

  2. Stage 2 Prepare

Assess readiness and design the target state.

  3. Stage 3 Enable

Deploy and configure the Microsoft capabilities.

  4. Stage 4 Adopt

Roll out to people and processes, with training and change support.

  5. Stage 5 Optimize

Measure results, tune and plan what comes next.

Questions

Identity & Access Management, answered.

What does Invoke's Identity & Access Management practice cover?

Everything that decides who and what can get in: the Microsoft Entra ID tenant, hybrid identity, MFA and passwordless sign-in, Conditional Access, privileged access, identity governance, guest access, app single sign-on, workload identities, device identity and VPN replacement with Microsoft Entra Private Access.

Can Invoke move us from Okta to Microsoft Entra ID?

Yes. Identity provider consolidation is part of the practice. We inventory your apps and policies, plan the cutover in waves and move sign-in to Microsoft Entra ID with minimal disruption for users.

Which Microsoft Entra licenses do we need?

Conditional Access needs Microsoft Entra ID P1. Privileged Identity Management, risk-based policies and access reviews need Microsoft Entra ID P2 or Microsoft Entra ID Governance. We confirm what your current licenses already include before recommending anything new.

How does identity apply to AI agents?

Every agent needs an identity, an owner and least-privilege access, just like a person. Invoke extends Microsoft Entra controls to agents and workload identities so they can be governed and audited.
