Threat Protection

Invoke's Threat Protection practice turns Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel into one working security operations platform. We connect protection for endpoints, identities, email and cloud apps, set up incident handling and automated response, build hunting queries and custom detections, and give your team the reporting to run it day to day.

The challenge

Too many alerts, not enough signal.

Security teams juggle separate tools, noisy alerts and manual steps, so real attacks take too long to find and stop.

  • Alert overload

Noisy, duplicate alerts bury the incidents that matter.

  • Disconnected tools

Endpoint, identity, email and cloud app signals sit in separate consoles.

  • Slow response

Manual triage and approvals stretch the time from detection to containment.

  • No clear measures

Without KPIs and reviews, it's hard to show security operations are improving.

What we cover

12 capabilities, one practice.

Each area can stand alone or be part of a larger program. We start where the risk or the value is highest.

  • Security Operations Platform (XDR)

Microsoft Defender XDR licensed, connected and healthy, with telemetry flowing from every workload.

  • SecOps Portal & RBAC Governance

Least-privilege roles and access reviews for everyone who uses the security portal.

  • Endpoint Threat Protection Integration

Devices onboarded to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint with healthy sensors and tuned detection and response.

  • Identity Threat Protection Integration

Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Entra risk signals wired into every investigation.

  • Email & Collaboration Protection Integration

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 anti-phishing, Safe Links and Safe Attachments tuned for your users.

  • Cloud App Protection Integration

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps discovering SaaS use, scoring OAuth app risk and applying session controls.

  • Incident Queue & Case Management

Clear triage, ownership, escalation and closure standards for every incident.

  • Automated Investigation & Response

Automation that investigates and contains common threats, with approvals where you want them.

  • Advanced Hunting & Custom Detections

Hunting queries and custom detection rules for the threats specific to your business.

  • Threat Analytics & Exposure Prioritization

Threat intelligence and exposure insights that tell you what to fix first.

  • SIEM/SOAR Integration

Microsoft Sentinel analytics and playbooks for signals beyond Microsoft 365, with clear escalation paths.

  • SecOps Reporting & Operational Governance

Dashboards, KPI baselines and a review cadence that show security operations getting better.

How we work

From priorities to results, in five stages.

Every engagement moves through the same stages, whether you start with an assessment or a full program.

Invoke Advise and Invoke Engage

  1. Stage 1 Align

Agree on outcomes, priorities and the people involved.

  2. Stage 2 Prepare

Assess readiness and design the target state.

  3. Stage 3 Enable

Deploy and configure the Microsoft capabilities.

  4. Stage 4 Adopt

Roll out to people and processes, with training and change support.

  5. Stage 5 Optimize

Measure results, tune and plan what comes next.

Questions

Threat Protection, answered.

What does Invoke's Threat Protection practice cover?

The Microsoft security operations stack end to end: Microsoft Defender XDR for endpoints, identities, email and cloud apps, Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM and SOAR, incident handling, automated investigation and response, threat hunting, exposure prioritization and security operations reporting.

Do we need both Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel?

Defender XDR protects and correlates signals across Microsoft workloads. Sentinel adds SIEM and SOAR for other sources, such as firewalls and other clouds, plus longer data retention. Many enterprises run both together in the Microsoft Defender portal. We help you decide what you need.

Will Invoke run our security operations center?

We build, tune and hand over the platform so your security team can run it with confidence. If you need around-the-clock monitoring, we can arrange 24/7 managed extended detection and response (MXDR) through a trusted partner.

Which licenses do we need?

Microsoft 365 E5 or the E5 Security add-on includes the main Defender XDR workloads, and Microsoft Sentinel is billed by the data it ingests. We map your current licenses to the protection you need before recommending changes.
